What Will Students Learn?

In this 90-minute beginner-friendly workshop, students will explore the basics of game development using Roblox Studio through a guided, hands-on activity.

Students will learn how to:

Explore Roblox Studio: Get familiar with the interface, workspace, and essential tools.

Build a 3D Environment: Learn how to add, move, resize, and arrange objects to create a simple game environment.

Create a Simple Game: Follow guided steps to build a beginner-level game, such as a basic obstacle course.

Test Their Creation: Play-test their game and make simple changes to improve it.

Save and Publish: Understand the basic process of saving and publishing a game on Roblox.

Explore Further Learning: Discover free resources to continue practising game development after the workshop.

Prerequisites:
No prior game development experience is required. Previous experience with Scratch or other block-based coding tools is helpful but not mandatory.
Students should be comfortable with basic computer use, including using a mouse, keyboard, and navigating applications.
Roblox Studio must be installed on the student's computer before the workshop.
Students must have a Roblox account and be logged in to Roblox Studio before joining the session.
A stable internet connection is required for the hands-on activities.
