Scratch for Kids: Pixel Art Edition

We start simple with Scratch, but every project is tailored to your child's passions. Whether they love dinosaurs, space, or cartoons, they’ll learn to design their own animated characters pixel by pixel. Next, we turn those characters into fun, playable games like catch games, mazes, and Pong. As their confidence grows, they start building and innovating entirely on their own, learning at a comfortable pace with zero rush. Over 32 sessions, your child will go from learning the fundamentals to building complete games entirely on their own, they will finish with a custom game that they imagined, designed, and coded all by themselves.

Hi, I'm Navaal! For the past few years I've been teaching kids Scratch and coding one-on-one. What I care about most is making sure coding never feels like a chore; that's why I build every lesson around what the student is actually interested in, instead of one-size-fits-all projects. Beyond just the coding itself, I focus on building real problem-solving and critical thinking skills using whatever the student is into as the way in. I keep sessions structured and predictable, so there's always a clear rhythm to follow: look back at what we made last time, learn something new, build it together, then let them run with it. I love watching a student go from clicking their very first block to designing and building something that's entirely their own.
