STEM Explorer session

What is a STEM Explorer Session?+

The STEM Explorer Session is a personalized Zoom session designed to explore the most suitable learning path for your child. We introduce various learning tracks such as Python, Scratch, Arduino, and Unity. Through guided discussion and interactive activities, we assess your child's current aptitude level, conceptual understanding, and identify any potential challenges they might face in different learning tracks. This session ensures we match your child with the right course for their level and interests.

STEM Explorer Session
Is it necessary to join the STEM Explorer session?+

Yes, joining the STEM Explorer Session is essential before enrolling in any course. This session allows us to evaluate your child's current understanding, learning style, and readiness, helping us recommend the most suitable course that matches their age, aptitude, and goals.

Is the STEM Explorer session only for kids?+

No, the STEM Explorer Session is open to both students and parents. Parents are encouraged to join to better understand the learning pathways, available course options, and how each course builds on the next. We'll walk you through the complete learning roadmap, explain how we tailor content to different age groups, and answer any questions about how your child will progress through our programs.

Is this an introductory session regarding any course?+

Not exactly. The STEM Explorer Session is not tied to any single course. Instead, it's a personalized assessment and consultation session where we explore multiple learning options—like Scratch, Python, Arduino, or Unity. The goal is to understand your child's strengths and challenges so we can guide them toward the best-fit programming path.

What are the compulsory tools needed to take a STEM Explorer session?+

To ensure a smooth experience during your STEM Explorer Session, please make sure of the following:

✅ A laptop or desktop (sessions are not supported on phones or tablets)
✅ Zoom installed and updated
✅ A working camera and microphone (active participation is part of the evaluation)
✅ Join 5 minutes early to avoid being locked out — the session starts on time, and the room is secured shortly after
✅ Check your email for the Zoom link and Google Calendar invite, and please mark "Yes" on the calendar invitation

What if I miss the session?+

We understand that schedules can be unpredictable. That's why we offer daily sessions with multiple time slots. If your child misses a class, simply let us know and we'll be happy to reschedule it at a convenient time.

Course & Scheduling

What are the benefits of learning coding for my child's future?+

Learning to code helps build essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It fosters logical reasoning, boosts confidence in using technology, and prepares children for a future increasingly shaped by digital tools.

How can I find age-appropriate coding resources or courses for my child?+

The best way to find a suitable course is to book a STEM Explorer Session. In this session, we will evaluate your child's current understanding of key concepts, learning preferences, and any difficulties they may face. Based on this assessment, we recommend the most appropriate platform or programming language tailored to their age and developmental level.

What is the enrollment process for a programming course?+

To enroll in any of our programming courses, your child must first attend a STEM Explorer Session. This helps us understand your child's learning profile and ensures they are placed in a course that matches their skills and interests. After the session, we will share available time slots and course details, and guide you through the next steps for enrollment.

Class Schedule & Attendance

What if I miss a class?+

While we highly encourage punctuality and regular attendance, we understand that emergencies can happen. In such a case, parents must inform the instructor before the class and request a recording. In this way, the instructor can arrange a recording if informed in advance, as we do not usually record classes.

Can I get the recording later?+

Yes, we offer recordings upon request. Please inform the instructor before the class begins if your child cannot attend, so the session can be recorded and shared with you afterward.

What if I have to withdraw from the classes?+

You have the flexibility to pause or resume classes at any time. If you choose to fully withdraw, you may do so at any point. However, to be eligible for a full refund, you must inform us before the second class.

Can we take the classes on the Phone?+

No, it’s highly recommended to use a laptop. A laptop provides:
Better interaction with software: The full Scratch editor is primarily designed for computers and larger screens, making it easier to navigate and use.
Improved typing skills: Important for future courses like Python, which is a text-based programming language.
Enhanced learning experience: Larger screens, a physical keyboard, and multi-window capabilities make learning more efficient and comfortable.

What kind of Laptop will I need? +

For Scratch and Python courses:
- Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) processor
- 8 GB RAM
For advanced courses (e.g., Unity or Game Development):
- 8th Generation Intel Core i5 (or higher)
- At least 16 GB RAM for smooth performance

How can I get a refund?+

A full refund is available if you decide and notify us to discontinue the course before attending the second class. To initiate the refund process, please contact us with your request and provide your bank account details. Once we receive the required information, your refund will be processed within 10 working days. For further details, view the terms & conditions.
